Daniele Bellucci was born and lives in Rome. Always passionate about visual arts (he is the founder of the film magazine Gli Spietati), he discovered in photography the means to best express his own visual idea.
He prefers any travel reportage, convinced that every place is a potentially inexhaustible source of memorable shots and stories, in the most uncontaminated villages and territories as well as in the best-known cities that mass tourism has made visually more worn out. The ironic side of his character leads him to grasp the bizarre aspects of the scenes that appear before his eyes, the contrasts, the oxymorons, the estrangement of the elements. His more curious and intellectual side instead pushes him to search for the memory of a community, among the oldest and most typical minorities and cultures, which increasingly tend to be watered down or devoured by the dominant Western ones, cultures whose apotheosis is crystallized in the celebrations traditional, in the reportage of which he specializes and which he immortalizes in every part of the world.
He has exhibited in numerous galleries in Rome, participated in international group shows, won competitions, and teaches basic and specialized courses. He has publications in art and travel magazines, including Dove, with which he collaborates regularly.
