The historical Jewish (Ebraico) Ghetto dates back to 1555, when Pope Paul IV restricted all Jews to a small area of the city. Our photographer has recently published a reportage from the district and will show you some of the amazing hidden corners of this area after lunch. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Piazza Venezia just to go to Fontana di Trevi; the best exposition of this fountain is the middle morning or early middle afternoon. The "Best of Milan" photographic tour lasting about 6 hours - lunch break excluded - is a complete itinerary that contains the most iconic spots of the "economic capital of Italy", but will also surprise you with hidden glimpses that only a Milanese professional photographer can know and illustrate you. We will start from Piazza Gae Aulenti with its glittering skyscrapers and its “Bosco Verticale”: the most modern and futuristic face of Milan, crystal and steel fused together in a great harmony of shapes. After photographing this huge skyline we will move away ... and immediately time will seem to run backwards: from the fashionable Corso Como, beyond Piazza XXV Aprile, the life of Corso Garibaldi unfolds. Here we immediately encounter the fifteenth-century Incoronata church, with its characteristic double façade, and then continue after Moscova, meeting two other venerable basilicas: the early Christian San Simpliciano, founded when Milan was the capital of the Roman Empire; the more recent Santa Maria del Carmine, with its beautiful churchyard. All three, a triumph of Lombard red brick, of ancient tradition. We are now in Brera: this is an area that has not lost its ancient nineteenth century appearance, surprising in a city devoted to business and modernity: via san Carpoforo, via Fiori chiari, via Formentini, via Madonnina ... streets with an ancient charm behind the facades of luxurious buildings. The next step will be in Parco Sempione, Milan's “Central Park”: huge, adored by the Milanese, full of hidden corners and spectacular views, it will be a naturalistic break in an almost completely urban itinerary. Later we will stop in two iconic churches: Santa Maria delle Grazie, famous for hosting Leonardo da Vinci's “Ultima Cena” (internal visit available on request and subject to availability of seats) and San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, the "Sistine Chapel" of Milan, that will leave you speechless for the richness of its internal frescoes. The "grand finale" will naturally be dedicated to Piazza del Duomo (internal visit available on request and subject to availability of seats) and to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele: two very famous and super-photographed spots, but which you can then discover from angles that ordinary tourists ignore. An intense photographic day, as intense will be the emotions that our professional photographers will make you live. ...
